The full roll out of Digital Census has been started. The Foremost step towards final round was initiated by conducting the training Sessions. Conduct of Population & Housing Census in the country is a huge exercise which requires deployment of big number human resources. This time field staff comprising more than 127,000 personals will be deployed for census field operation. To provide training to all of these human resources throughout the country, a comprehensive training program has been prepared by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

Nearly 500 Census Support Centers have already been established all over the country where PBS staff is working in close liaison with the local administration for completion of arrangements.  PBS has arranged nearly 2000 venues all over the country where census training will be provided to the field staff in 3 batches. Field staff that will perform enumeration work during the census has also been nominated.

This time Census data will be collected electronically by using specifically prepared tablets through which data will be synchronized and stored in central database in a safe environment. However, considering the nature of Digital Census, special IT related arrangements are required for providing training to the field staff.
